John Robshaw Inspired
The inspiration for this collection were the block printed textiles by John Robshaw.
I have always had an intense love for block printed and tie dyed textiles, and this gave me the perfect opportunity to experiment with hand block prints and their coordinates.
The collection was designed keeping in mind the cosmopolitan Indian male, with a mature fondness for Indian textiles.
The collection consists of a bedding set with the appropriate options for cushion coordinates.
The Main Print
A classic combination of diamond, zig-zag and stripes made up the final print. This particular print consists of three sets of blocks, and coordinates were designed accordingly.
It was extremely important to ensure that the coordinate block sets are versatile enough to be used with different colour combinations, ensuring final design diversity while also keeping the budget of the collection in check.

Quirky Old Timer
The inspiration for this print development project was Picasso's fearless one line drawings.
In the process of reducing a complicated image or object into its simplest forms, and then representing it with a single line, depicted his fearless rejection of convention and traditionalism.
The thought process of combining his art, with a bold, pop colour palette was to combine the two styles that went against the general human tendency and norm of conformity.
Print Explorations
Exploration of prints was done keeping in mind that perfection in any shape or form was not required. A deliberate attempt was made to use various indigenous materials to create texture, such as: paper roll, steel scrub pad, stationery holders etc.
